  It's a traditional Square Planned Khan with Vaulted galleries that have arches opening to the central courtyard. The gallery acts as a transition to the several rooms of the Khan. Originally the Khan included a small hotel and a school that were built in the 9thc. The Khan is believed to be built either by Prince Fakhreddine in 1710. or by French Traders in the second half of the 16thc.
